About #LOL Fest
Each year Pinecrest Elementary School comes together to raise funds to improve our school through with a day of fun, rides, food and entertainment which includes an ONLINE AUCTION that will take place from November 11th to November 20th, 2016.
We would LOVE 100% participation from all families. Help us make this year's silent auction out of this world! Please ask your local restaurants, stylists, favorite hotels, kids' camps, health facilities, etc. to donate today. If you like it, chances are, someone else will love it too. We will gladly accept a gift certificate, merchandise item, or service donation. Also, consider donating your pre-owned luxury items (purse, jewelry or clothes’ sitting in your closet). All donations are tax-deductible. Any contribution, large or small, makes an impact on our school and our children!

This event is the largest fundraiser of the year and brings together students and their families, teachers, staff and the entire local community for a day of fun. In recent years, these funds have helped support academic and physical education programs. They make a difference. As you will see from the attached list, there are many different sponsorship opportunities. Each sponsor receives recognition in school flyers, email communication and on our Carnival sponsorship banner which hangs on the school fence. Secure your promotion now. #LOL Fest is the PTA’s largest annual fundraiser. Our goal is for ALL Pinecrest Elementary School families to support our school by making a tax-deductible donation to the PTA. Various donation levels are listed on the attached envelope; however, ALL donations are welcome and ALL donors will be recognized on a banner that we will proudly hang at #LOL FEST.
For each $100 donation, your family will receive one wristband (a $30 value) that allows unlimited rides for one child at #LOL FEST ($200=2 wristbands, $300=3 wristbands, etc.).
To make things even more exciting for the children, we have special incentives. Every homeroom with 100% student participation (minimum $10 per student) will win a prize (we had 7 last year!):

Many companies offer their employees an easy way to extend their charitable contributions by matching employee donations to qualifying non-profit organizations. These programs are a great way for companies to support higher education and a chance for you to double or even triple your gift. Please note that Pinecrest PTA qualifies as a 501(c) (3) organization with a Federal ID Number and your contribution via a “Matching Gift” program, such as JK Group, can quickly add up and help Pinecrest Elementary raise additional funds (double or even more) simply by donating through a matching program instead of directly to the PTA.
Corporate Philanthropy - Q&A
Q: How do I know if my company participates in a Matching Gift program?
A: You can search here to see if your organization has a Matching Gift Program. Note that CWRU is an online database of nearly 16,000 companies, however many companies keep this information private so the best way to be certain is to call or send a quick email to your human resource department and ask.
Q: What if my company does not have a Matching Gift program?
A: Suggest that your company consider one! Your company can request a free JK Group demo here (Note this is just one example of a Matching Gift program –there are many more that can be considered).
Q: I called my company and they have a Matching Gift program! What do I do now?
A: Your company will likely send you link and instructions so that you can make your donation online via a secured website (this is usually your own company “Intranet”). You will have options on how much to donate and could even have the amount deducted directly from your paycheck. Options include a one-time donation or reoccurring payments.
Q: I can’t find Pinecrest Elementary PTA listed when I search my company’s matching program. What is the PTA’s Federal ID#?
A: You won’t need the actual Federal ID#, just look up PTA Florida Congress. It is the legal organization that is associated with our PTA program. Note there are many PTAs listed. The easiest way to find Pinecrest is to include our exact zip code in your search (33156-4159). Note its listed under the Schools, Colleges and Related Activities “category” as a “Parent or parent-teacher association”. Check the address (10250 SW 57th Ave.) before you confirm your online donation to ensure you’ve chosen the correct PTA.
Q: Will my donation be pretax?
A: Most common is post-tax.
Q: How long does it take for my donation to fund in my school’s PTA account?
A: Funds are issued on a monthly basis and can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Q: How will funds be received?
A: Payment is issued as agreed upon by your PTA – it could be check or wire transfer.
Q: How much will company’s generally contribute?
A: This depends on your organization but the majority of companies match 100%. A common maximum is $250 so your $250 contribution could be $500!
